Budget Billing
The Levelized
Budget Billing Plan is used
for residential customers who
have had service for at least 12 months.
This one-year of service gives us a
12-month history of monthly kilowatt
usage, allowing us to calculate a 12-month
average revenue amount. Once the average
revenue amount is figured, additional
fees such as fuel charge, security
light, and taxes are added. This amount
is rounded off to the nearest dollar
and becomes the current month's levelized
budget billing payment amount. Each
month we add the current month of kilowatt
usage into the averaging process
and we drop the 12 th month from
the averaging process; keeping a
current 12-month average. If a balance
exists in 30, 60, or 90 days, the
balance is divided by 12 and added
to the current monthly average amount.
