Button Up Weatherization Program
Salt River Electric’s Button Up program offers residential members an incentive for reducing their home’s heat loss through a series of approved weatherization improvements!
Members are asked to contact the cooperative prior to the start of improvements to verify program eligibility.
The following is a list of eligible Button-Up Program Improvements
- Insulating basement walls
- Insulating floors over unconditioned space
- Encapsulating a crawl space
- Insulating rim or band board
- Retrofitting uninsulated exterior walls with insulation
- Insulating a ceiling
- Converting to a conditioned attic
- Insulating attic access
- Upgrading windows and doors
Program Qualifications
- Home must be 2-years old or older
- Home’s primary source of heat must be electricity
- Members must provide copy of purchase receipt(s) verifying the materials purchased and the date of purchase
- Heat loss calculation of British thermal units per hour (Btuh) reduced will be calculated by the cooperative
- Incentive is $100 per thousand Btuh of heat loss reduced
