Frequently asked questions

I replaced my entire HVAC unit. Do I qualify?

It depends on what has been replaced. If your home had ceiling cable heat, baseboard heat, an electric furnace or another type of resistance heating that was replaced in favor of a heat pump, or if you upgraded an aging heat pump to a more efficient unit, you may qualify. Final program & product eligibility will be determined by our member services team.

Okay, so I qualify. What form do I fill out?

You will need to complete our Heat Pump Rebate form (linked above) and submit it to your local Salt River Electric office with a copy of your unit’s AHRI Certificate of Product Rating.

Will the rebate be added to my bill as a credit?

No, you will receive a check for the rebate amount in the mail. Once all information has been submitted, it typically takes about 4-6 weeks for your rebate check to arrive.
